ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION

DESCRIPTION

Protect yourself against unexpected damage during your hire with our Accidental Damage Protection. While minor wear and tear can be reasonably expected, any damage made to our pieces during your rental is your responsibility to cover.

But for a small fee, you can have peace of mind, protecting yourself with up to $450 worth of coverage for any repairs or replacements required due to accidental damage made during your hire.

COST

Our Accidental Damage Protection is just $19.95 and provides you with up to $450 worth of coverage for repairs or replacement to the hired item.

INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS

What's Covered:

Our Accidental Damage Protection covers you for damage which occurs accidentally, such as:

• A bad stain which can't be removed with professional cleaning
• Accidental tears or rips to seams
• Beading, sequins or embellishments that become damaged or detached
• Broken zippers or hardware from normal use and removal

What's NOT Covered:

Even with damage protection, we expect you to treat our items with responsibility and care.

• Items which are stolen or lost after they have been delivered to you or collected from our studio
• Returns which are lost in transit, when there is no evidence the item was posted (such as online tracking stating the item was posted or an Australia post lodgement receipt)
• Damage or irreparable staining caused by reckless or careless behaviour (eg. extensive stains or tears throughout the entire garment as opposed to a single spill or accident).
• Stains caused by wearing wet fake tan or using fashion tape (we only allow Clutch Glue as it doesn't cause damage to our garments).
• Dragging a dress through mud or dirt causing extensive irreparable staining, where it would be reasonably expected the item be picked up to avoid foreseeable damage.
• Damaged caused by wearing heavily embellished clutches or jewellery catching on the garment, as this damage is foreseeable and is never advised with hire pieces.

IMPORTANT: TRAIN & LONG DRESS CARE

Extreme soiling from dragging dresses is NOT covered.

This includes:

• Dragging train dresses or long gowns along the ground, pavement, or outdoor surfaces causes holes and pulls to the fabric
• Extensive hem staining from walking through dirt, grass, or wet conditions without lifting the dress
• Ground-level soiling that could have been prevented by proper dress handling

Remember: Train dresses and floor-length gowns require extra care. Always lift the hem when walking, especially outdoors.

CLAIMS

In most cases, our team will handle minor damage without contacting you. Simply return your item as planned and we'll take care of everything.

Please don't attempt to clean or repair items yourself. Our team specialises in garment care and professional cleaning, and we can often find solutions that aren't possible with DIY attempts.

If your item requires replacement and the cost exceeds $450, we'll contact you to arrange payment of the difference so we can quickly replace the item for future customers.
